Lithuanian organisations has been active to participate in CIP ICT PSP third call

The 2nd of July was the deadline for the applications and proposals being provided for the 3rd call of the The ICT Policy Support Programme (ICT PSP) under the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (CIP).


The 2nd of July was the deadline for the applications and proposals being provided for the 3rd call of the The ICT Policy Support Programme (ICT PSP) under the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (CIP). The programme facilitates the development of lead markets for innovative ICT-based solutions notably in areas of public interest and opens a wide range of new opportunities optimising the use of the resources available for the programme and builds on and complements national, regional and other EU initiatives. In order to disseminate information about the programme and stimulate participating of Lithuanian entities Information Society Development Committee  under the Government of Republic of Lithuania held the information day in the end of March. The programme, terms, themes and objectives have been introduced in order to ensure more active participation in the programme. By the end of the 3rd call Lithuanian became partners in the consortiums which submitted applications for 4 themes and objectives.
Information Society Development Committee has become the partner in consortium which submitted a proposal for two thematic networks of User Centricity for e-Governance (Theme 3:  ICT for Government and Governance) and Legal Aspects of Public Sector Information (Theme 6:  Public Sector Information). Publishing house of Vilnius Gediminas Technical University along with Trakai History Museum have submitted the proposal for the Best Practice Network of European Digital Library aggregating Digital content in Europeana (Theme 2: Digital Libraries). The Ministry of Interior has joined the consortium of Enlargement of the e-IDM Pilot STORK (Theme 3: ICT for Government and Governance). The evaluation will be performed by July and the actual participation of Lithuanian entities in CIP is going to be known at that point.
